Founder of TRON

Justin Sun is the Founder of TRON, one of the world’s largest decentralized blockchain ecosystems and CEO of BitTorrent, the leader in peer-to-peer software and services. A protege of Alibaba’s Jack Ma, Sun in 2017 was named to Forbes’ 30 under 30 list for China and 30 under 30 Asia in the Consumer Technology category. Sun is an avid gamer, investor, and philanthropist.

Justin Sun is a tech entrepreneur with a passion for the accelerating and decentralization of the internet through blockchain technology and applications. He is the only millennial graduate from Hupan University, a protégé of Chinese tycoon Jack Ma, Chairman of the Alibaba Group and was named Forbes’ 30 under 30 Asia in 2017 and Forbes’ 30 under 30 China from 2015 to 2017. Back in 2012 while Justin was still in UPenn he began working in the blockchain industry, he was 22 at the time. During that time he had a very small team, some of whom were not even getting paid a salary and it wasn’t until 2014 that they received venture capital funding. During these few years of hard entrepreneurship is when Justin realized that the blockchain industry was his calling, what he was meant to do and got deeply involved in the crypto space.

Justin realized early on that the concept of the blockchain would revolutionize society and founded TRON in 2017 with the mission of decentralizing the internet through blockchain technology. In 2018 Justin was a part of the acquisition of BitTorrent, the leader in peer-to-peer technology with the aim to build a free, global digital content entertainment system with distributed storage technology, that allows easy and cost-effective sharing of digital content. With highly scalable, fast and affordable technology, TRON has grown to be one of the largest and most popular blockchain ecosystems in the whole crypto space and has established itself as an extremely agile protocol. TRON has surpassed milestone after milestone since it’s inception establishing itself as one of the top 3 layer 1 protocols in the world. USD-pegged stablecoin Tether which is arguably one of the largest crypto applications has seen the most growth on TRON, in a historic turn of events in April 2021 USDT on TRON surpassed USDT on Ethereum.

Justin is also an avid art collector and NFT advocate. He recently donated his entire art collection including Picasso’s “Femme Nue Couchee Au Collier”, Andy Warhol’s “Three Self-Portraits”, “Ocean’s Front” by renowned NFT artist Beeple, and a full collection of works by celebrated digital artist Pak worth over $30 million to the APENFT project as he was deeply compelled by their vision to be the ARK Funds in the NFT space.
